Theme

It Goes On was created for the GMTK Game Jam 2025, inspired by the theme "Loop", and fully developed in just 4 days,  including the game page you’re reading now.

Concept

It Goes On is a poetic, narrative-driven journey through memory, grief, and acceptance. You play as a daughter caring for her aging mother in a surreal hospital tower where time flows in loops. Each ascent of the staircase leads to a moment shared. As she relives these memories, the world slowly transforms, guiding you toward peace.

Apple Puzzle Tip

One of the more confusing parts of the game was the apple section. Basically, you need to grab the basket and collect apples from the three trees. After that, approach the granny from the front of her wheelchair and interact. A short dialogue will trigger, and then the gate will open.
